CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties provides scholarship opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors who are attending community colleges, four-year universities, vocational/technical, and graduate schools.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants will complete one application for consideration for all the scholarship funds under CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships.

Scholarships funds included in the CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships Application:

Applicants will apply to CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships. One common application is completed to apply to any of the below funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria and the criteria of one or more of the scholarships listed:

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Florida
  • OR
  • Attending one of the following high schools:
    • Jupiter High School
    • Glades Central High School
    • Pahokee High School
    • Palm Beach Gardens High School
    • any Palm Beach County high school
    • any Martin County high school
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and must run on a standard academic semester calendar. Certification programs must be a minimum of one semester/term in length and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA (unless specified otherwise)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards
  • Homeschooled students are encouraged to apply

Bennett/Darwin Family Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at any Palm Beach County High School
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Pursue a degree or career in Law
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

Claire B. Schultz Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Preference for those demonstrating financial need
  • Preference to those who self-identify as
    • American Indian of Alaska Native
    • Asian
    • Black, African, or African American
    • Hispanic or Latino
    • Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
  • Preference to those with disabilities
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 to be granted for undergraduate study only

Community Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Preference for those demonstrating financial need
  • Estimated two (2) awards of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

Edwin P. and Patricia A. Pedersen Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at Jupiter High School and a resident of Jupiter, FL
  • Be enrolled in two- or four- year college/university or vocational /technical school
    • EXCEPT Florida State University or it’s affiliates:
      • Florida State University
      • FSU Panama City
      • The FSU Ringling Center for Cultural Arts
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated two (2) awards of $2,500 to be granted for undergraduate study only

George and Arlene F. Lepeska Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Participation in extracurricular activities
  • Estimated three (3) awards of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

James H. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at:
    • any Palm Beach County high school
    • any Martin County high school
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a college/university in Florida
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Pursuing a degree or career in:
    • Agriculture
    • Agriculture Business
    • Botany
    • Farm Management
    • Forestry
    • Horticulture
    • other agriculture science-related field such as turf-grass
    • other agricultural science dealing with the production and management of plants
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated two (2) awards of $10,000 will be granted for undergraduate study only

Kathy Heming Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at any high school in Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Be enrolled in a two- or four- year college/university or vocational/technical school in Florida
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Pursue a degree or career in Nursing
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrated community involvement in the health field
  • Estimated one (1) award of $3,750 will be granted for undergraduate study

Laurence E. Barreca Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated two (2) awards of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

Mabry M. Noxon Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Self-identify as female
  • Pursue a degree or career in Business
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

R. Bruce Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at Glades Central High School or Pahokee High School
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Participation in extracurricular activities
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

The Reuter Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach County
  • Preference given to a graduating high school senior at Glades Central High School or Pahokee High School
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Be pursuing a degree or career in Technology, Engineering, or Science
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Preference for participating in extracurricular activities
  • Preference to those who have faced life challenges
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

The Robert Glen Stern Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at any Palm Beach County high school residing in Palm Beach County
  • Be a US Citizen
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Demonstrated life challenges
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

The Ryan Kollmer Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at Palm Beach Gardens High School
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Preference for those demonstrating financial need
  • Be a member of the Palm Beach Gardens Band
  • Preference given to applicants with an interest in music
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted for undergraduate study only

Women’s Empowerment Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior who is a resident of Florida. Homeschooled students are encouraged to apply
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a public two- or four-year accredited college/university in the United States
  • Preference given to those with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Self-declare as female
  • Estimated five (5) award of $2,500 will be granted

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Up to 24 awards will be granted.

Applicants may receive ONE award per year from the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in a part-time or full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

The scholarship is to be used for tuition and education-related expenses. Unused funds must be returned to the Sponsor.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Payment is made in July.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation
  • Financial need

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, will be considered but may not be required.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any member of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.


As part of your application, you must upload the following:

    • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
      • Student name
      • School name
      • Grades
      • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 6, 2025 4:00 pm Central Time (5:00 PM Eastern Time).
