Pepper Employees' Children Scholarship Fund
Deadline to apply: March 20, 2025 3:00 pm CT

We have established the Pepper Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund because we recognize the importance of education beyond the secondary level and we understand the increasing cost of further education. Our scholarship fund provides for new scholarships and honorariums for undergraduate full-time or part-time study at an institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Pepper Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund must:

  • Be dependent children, 23 years of age or younger, of full-time J.W. Pepper & Son, Inc. employees who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.  Employees must have worked 1,000 hours or more in the past year.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll, or are already enrolled, in a full- or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Children of Pepper owners are not eligible.

Award Information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,500 to $5,000.
  • Awards are not renewable; however, past recipients are eligible to reapply and will be given preference.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.
  • The parent must be employed by J.W. Pepper & Son, Inc. at the time the awards are paid.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
