The Philip D. Graham Memorial Scholarship Program – APAC assists children of employees who plan to continue their education in college, university, or vocational-technical schools.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.

Applicants to the Philip D. Graham Memorial Scholarship Program – APAC must be:

Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 USD award. Up to two (2) awards will be granted each year. Up to one award will be granted to dependents pursuing full-time post-secondary education leading to an undergraduate degree. Up to one award will be granted to dependents pursuing pull-time post-secondary education leading to a trade, technical or vocational degree or diploma, provided there are qualified candidates.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a vocational-technical degree or diploma or bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued parental employment, and continuation of the program by Graymont.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and a recommendation (a recommender cannot be related to you).
Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Graymont play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in November.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Graymont. Payment is made via wire transfer upon verification of student enrollment.
Consent
All award recipients will provide Graymont with their consent to use their personal information and will cooperate with Graymont to promote the receipt of their award for any internal communication.
