Louisiana Pigment, Co., L.P. has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Louisiana Pigment Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

The authorized distribution for new awards will be $10,000. Awards ranging from $1,250 to $2,500 will be granted.
For those pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university, awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is based upon the student maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent), full-time enrollment (minimum 12 hours per semester), continued parental employment at Louisiana Pigment and continuation of the program by Louisiana Pigment.
For those attending an accredited community college or vocational-technical school in Louisiana or Texas, awards are renewable for one additional year or until an Associate’s Degree/Craft Certification is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is based upon the student maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent), full time enrollment (minimum 12 hours per semester), continued parental employment at Louisiana Pigment and continuation of the program by Louisiana Pigment.
Students who withdraw from more than one-third of their total credit hours in any one school year will forfeit their scholarship. An exception may be made if absence from classes is due to illness that is certified by a physician, or other exceptional reasons as determined by Scholarship America.
Death or long-term disability (company sponsored) of a parent of any scholarship holder or retirement from service of the parent of any scholarship holder shall not cause the scholarship recipient to be ineligible for award renewal. Marriage of scholarship recipients also does not affect eligibility to receive scholarship awards.
Awards are for undergraduate study only. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Louisiana Pigment Co., L.P. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in January.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Louisiana Pigment Co., L.P. Payment is made in August.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
