HighPoint Scholarship Program

HighPoint Digital, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of HighPoint employees who plan to continue their education in college, vocational or technical school programs. Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice for the upcoming school year.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applications for the scholarships must be submitted online by Friday, May 31 at 3:00 p.m. CT, to Scholarship America. To apply, the student must:

  • Be a dependent child, age 23 and under, of a HighPoint employee who has a minimum of one (1) year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date and who is employed by HighPoint when the award is paid.
  • Be a high school senior or graduate or current postsecondary undergraduate in their first, second or third year of study.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • High school seniors must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). Current undergraduate students must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

Undergraduate students who are in their fourth year of study are not eligible to apply.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $5,000. Up to two (2) awards will be granted.

Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not reapply.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in July.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of HighPoint. Payments are made in one installment in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will not be considered.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than June 5, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
