Twin Orchard Country Club Scholarship Program

Twin Orchard Country Club has established a scholarship program to assist employees, employees’ children and outstanding caddies who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

 

Applicants to the Twin Orchard County Club Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 26 and under, of Twin Orchard Country Club employees who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
    OR
  • Employees (all classes, full-time and part-time) of the Twin Orchard Country Club with a minimum of one (1) year of employment as of the application deadline date.
    OR
  • Ranked as outstanding caddies for the Twin Orchard Country Club with at least one season of full-time experience as of the application deadline date.
    AND
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Information:

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $4,000 (for two-year and vocational technical programs) or $5,000 (for four-year programs).

Up to eight (8) awards will be granted as follows:

  • Four (4) awards will be granted to employees of the Twin Orchard Country Club or their children.
  • Four (4) awards will be granted to qualifying outstanding caddies.

If there are not enough qualified applicants in one of the group, additional awards may be granted in the other group.

Awards are for undergraduate study only. Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Twin Orchard Country Club play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in early September. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Twin Orchard Country Club. Payment is made in one installment in September.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than July 28, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
