Education can play a pivotal role in achieving goals in life, providing the tools and experiences that can open the door to new opportunities. Assisting our employees in their efforts to provide post-secondary education to their children is incredibly important to me.
I am pleased to offer the William Clay Ford, Jr. Scholarship Program once again in 2024. The program provides $1,500 in assistance for children of U.S. Ford employees and will open for enrollment on June 1, 2024. To qualify, students must be sophomores in college during the 2024 fall term. Recipients may use the scholarship funds toward a variety of educational expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, and required equipment.
In addition to academic achievement, a community service component will be incorporated into the selection criteria again this year. Community involvement, actions big and small, can make profound differences in people’s lives. I have been deeply moved by scholarship recipients in the past who have shared with me the ways they plan to give back to others.
It is my pleasure to continue to present this program, and I encourage every eligible student to apply.
My best wishes to all of you and your families.
