Vontier Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

Vontier has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of employees who plan to continue their education in college, vocational school, or CEGEP programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of Vontier, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Vontier Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children* of active, full-time, worldwide Vontier or Vontier-owned** operating company employees in good standing as of the application deadline.
  • High school seniors/students in their final year of upper secondary school, high school/upper secondary school graduates, current vocational-technical or CEGEP students, or current university undergraduate students.
  • Planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical institution, or CEGEP (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year.

*Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

**Eligible businesses include: ANGI Energy Systems, DRB, EVolve, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Invenco by GVR, Matco Tools, Teletrac Navman, and Vontier Corporate.

Dependents of leadership team employees (at both businesses and corporate) are ineligible.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000 award. Up to 12 awards will be granted.

Award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD). Recipients in the U.S. and Canada will receive awards in USD. Awards to students outside of the U.S. and Canada will be disbursed via wire transfer to the student’s bank account. Recipients outside of the U.S. and Canada may select to receive payment in their local currency, if available.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late June.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • A statement of unusual personal or family circumstances

Assuming there are qualified applicants, preference will be given to first-generation college students.

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Vontier play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Vontier. Payment is made in one installment in August.
