Cengage Group Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: December 16, 2024 3:00 pm CT

Cengage Group has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ dependent children who plan to start and/or continue education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants of the Cengage Group Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 24 and under, of Cengage Group U.S. regular employees who are scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week and have a minimum of six months of employment with the company as of the application deadline date
  • High school seniors or graduates who will enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year

*Dependent child is defined as your child by birth, adoption or permanent placement; and/or your stepchild or child of your domestic partner, if living with you.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award.

Up to eighteen (18) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, enrollment during the entire upcoming academic year, continued employment of the student’s parent at Cengage Group at the time award checks are issued, and continuation of the program by Cengage Group.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

You will be notified of the status of your application in February.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Cengage Group. Payment is made on July 15 contingent on continued parental employment at Cengage Group at the time award checks are issued.
