R. L. Lehman/W. B. Drolet Scholarship Program

The R. L. Lehman/W. B. Drolet Scholarship Program has been established to assist Premiere Packaging, Inc. employees and children and grandchildren of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the R. L. Lehman/W. B. Drolet Scholarship Program must be:

  • Full-time or part-time employees of Premiere Packaging, Inc. who have been employed with the company for a minimum of one year as of the application deadline date.

OR

  • Children or grandchildren,* age 25 and under, of full-time Premiere Packaging employees who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Children or grandchildren are defined as natural or legally adopted children, stepchildren, or grandchildren.

AND

  • High school seniors, graduates, or GED holders who plan to enroll or who are already enrolled in a full‑time** undergraduate course of study at an accredited two‑ or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Employees may be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies.
    *The applicant can be enrolled part-time if school and work equate to full-time.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of up to $5,000. Three (3) to eight (8) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards for children and grandchildren are for undergraduate study only; awards for employees may be used for undergraduate or graduate study.

Selection of Finalists and Recipients

Scholarship America selects finalists on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Once finalists are selected, the sponsor will select recipients.

Financial need will be considered and primary consideration will be given to those who demonstrate the greatest need. However, applicants who do not demonstrate financial need may still be eligible for an honorarium.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in July.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Premiere Packaging Scholarship Fund. Payment is made in early November.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than July 19, 2024 11:59 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
