Deadline to apply: February 1, 2021 3:00 pm CT

The Atlantic Claim Executives Association (ACEA) has established a scholarship program to assist children of members or associate members who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Atlantic Claim Executives Association Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent, unmarried children (natural, adopted, or step-children) under the age of 27 (as of October 15) of current, full-time ACEA members or associate members who have been ACEA members or associate members for at least one year by February 1 of the year of application.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

The member or associate member must have attended a spring meeting or fall workshop within the last 18 months as of the application open date (October).

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Atlantic Claim Executives Association play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Only one award per family will be allowed unless siblings are the only qualified applicants.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in March.
