  • Be high school seniors.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study, at an accredited four year college or university, for the entire upcoming academic year, or enroll in a two year junior college, technical institution, or nursing program, as long as the curriculum could lead to a baccalaureate degree, and the applicant intends to pursue a baccalaureate degree.
  • Students who receive full scholarship awards from any other source, including military service academies are not eligible to participate in the American Electric Power Education Trust Scholarship Program.

Children of a Trustee of the AEP Educational Trust or of a member of the Board of Directors of any of the AEP System Companies are ineligible.
