The Alliant Energy Children of Employees Scholarship Program was created to provide financial assistance to children of Alliant Energy employees who have a well-rounded high school experience and are pursuing higher education.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to the actual or perceived race, religion, national origin, ancestry, disability, age, gender, or sexual orientation of any applicant.
Applicants to the Alliant Energy Children of Employees Scholarship Program must meet ALL of the following criteria:
Dependent children of company officers, vice presidents, and directors are not eligible.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award. Up to twenty-five (25) awards will be granted.
Awards are not renewable, and are limited to one per family per year.
Federal service academy applicants are eligible to apply. Applicants attending U.S. Service academies if chosen as a recipient will receive a one-time $1,500 award.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in April.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Alliant Energy for the Children of Employees Scholarship Program. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Alliant Energy play a part in the selection. Decisions are final and are not subject to appeal. The program is competitive; not all applicants will be selected as recipients.
