The Conklin-Faust Student Scholarship Program

Altice USA is proud to offer The Conklin-Faust Student Scholarship Program to dependents of eligible employees as part of our ongoing commitment to education and development.

Altice USA will award up to 60 scholarships of $1,500 to help students pay for costs associated with full-time undergraduate study at accredited colleges, universities or vocational/technical schools of choice. To qualify, applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, or currently pursuing post-secondary education.

Scholarship FAQ

Applicants to The Conklin-Faust Student Scholarship Program must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be dependent* children, of full-time** employees of Altice USA or its subsidiaries who:
    • Have a minimum of six (6) months of continuous service with the Company prior to the application deadline date.
    • Are in good standing with the Company (not on a formal Action Plan or Corrective Action)
    • Have received a “Valuable Contribution” (legacy Cablevision) or “Meets Expectations” (Suddenlink) rating or above in the previous year
    • Are Sr. Director or below.
    • Temporary status employees are not eligible to participate in this program.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates or current post-secondary undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll, or are enrolled in, full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school (domestic or international) for the entire 2019-2020 academic year.
  • Have a minimum high school or college, as applicable, grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

*Dependent children are children who qualify for benefits provided by the company.

**Full-time employees are defined as working over 35 hours per week

Award information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,500 award.
  • Up to sixty (60) awards will be granted.
  • Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Recipients may receive an award no more than four years.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

 

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Any unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need is not considered.

Scholarship America is solely responsible for selecting award recipients. In no instance does any officer or employee of Altice USA and its subsidiaries play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Altice USA. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
