Amcor Technical School Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: March 6, 2025 3:00 pm CT

The Amcor Technical School Scholarship Program offers financial assistance for 2-year college or vocational school students who reside in select states and pursuing a certificate or degree in an industrial-skilled trade course of study.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

It is important that the student register for a Scholarship America Hub account, and complete the student profile and application using their information, including their email address.

Applicants to the Amcor Scholarship Program must be:

  • Be high school seniors or graduates
  • Reside in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, California, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, North Carolina, Arkansas, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New York, or Puerto Rico.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Be pursuing a certificate* or associate’s degree in an industrial-skilled trade (i.e., Mechanical/Electronics or Automation).

Students attending a 4-year college or university for the upcoming academic year are ineligible to apply.

*Certificates must be at least one academic semester/term in length and must run on a standard academic calendar. Applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an $2,500 award. Up to 20 awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

The employment-related application pool will be administered in full compliance with IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47. No more than 25% of eligible applicants (children of employees) may receive awards. Per IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47, the employment requirement does not apply to the Amcor employee parents of previous dependent recipients.

Award amounts are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and award payments will be issued in USD.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies/equipment). Awards amounts may be adjusted if award exceeds the cost of qualified education-related expenses.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America based on the funds available from the Amcor Cares Foundation. In no instance does any officer or employee of Amcor play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in mid-May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. The employment-related application pool will be administered in full compliance with IRS Revenue Procedure 76-47. No more than 25% of eligible applicants (children of employees) may receive awards.
