The AmerisourceBergen Foundation Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

AmerisourceBergen Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist associates’ children who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to The AmerisourceBergen Foundation Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children of regular full-time or part-time AmerisourceBergen associates who have a minimum of six (6) months of employment with the company as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the associate’s household or primarily supported by the associate.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university within the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Children of corporate officers are ineligible to apply.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $3,500. Up to fifteen (15) awards will be granted.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year for four consecutive years as long as they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic information, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated.

Applicants will be notified in late April.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of AmerisourceBergen Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in mid July.
