CONNECT Auto & Home Scholarship Program

CONNECT Auto & Home has established a scholarship program to assist children of full-time employees, agents or full-time agency staff  who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the CONNECT Auto & Home Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be dependent* children of full-time CONNECT Auto & Home employees, agents, and agency staff** who have a minimum of one (1) year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as a biological, step- or legally adopted children or grandchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
    **Dependents of agency staff must include a letter from the employing agent.
  • Be high school seniors graduating in 2020.
  • Be enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent.

Dependents of Foundation officers, Board of Directors, or Vice Presidents and above, are ineligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Foundation.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, an essay, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the Foundation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients and all applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Foundation. Payment is made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
