Aramark Scholarship Program

The Aramark Scholarship Program has been established to recognize our employees with an investment in the future of our children.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Aramark Scholarship Program must:

  • Applicants must be children, age 26 or younger, of full-time employees of Aramark United States, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands operations who have completed one (1) year of employment with the company by the application deadline. However, children of employees who are Bands 0 to 5 are ineligible for the program. Termination of employment up to the date of scholarship distribution will invalidate eligibility.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are presently enrolled in a full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award for educational expenses of one (1) year of full-time study at any accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first.

Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued parental employment with Aramark at the time each award check is mailed, and continuation of the program by Aramark. However, children of employees who are Band 5 and above, are ineligible for the program. Termination of employment up to the date of scholarship distribution will invalidate eligibility.

Awards are to be used for undergraduate study only.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Aramark play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Honors
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation.

Financial need is considered. If students rank close, the award will be granted to the student who demonstrates the greater financial need.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Aramark. Payments are made in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  • NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 16, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
