The Moving and Storage Institute has established a scholarship program to assist employees, children, grandchildren, or spouses of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Moving and Storage Institute Scholarship Program must:
Applicant or applicant’s parent/grandparent/spouse must be employed by a member company in good standing of American Trucking Associations’ Moving & Storage Conference (MSC).
*Children of deceased employees are eligible to apply; however, employee must have been employed at the time of death.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to twenty {20} awards will be granted.
The two top–ranked applicants will be granted the Marx Foundation Award in the amount of $5,000 each.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Recipients can receive the award a maximum of four times.
Awards are for tuition and education expenses, including books, course materials, and fees.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in June.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Moving and Storage Institute. Payment is made in late August.

SAI will select 20 finalists and Sponsor will select recipients. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 9, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.
