Twenty (20) awards of $2,000 will be granted.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and continued full-time enrollment at an Iowa school or college/university.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Financial need will be considered. The recipient must demonstrate need.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Athene Charitable Foundation play a part in the selection. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
