AutoZone Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

AutoZone has established a scholarship program to assist AutoZoners and children of AutoZoners who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the AutoZone Scholarship Program must be:

  • AutoZoners or dependent* children of AutoZoners who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date and must be employed at the time of notification.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors who plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $3,000.  Up to thirty (30) awards will be granted.

Awards are one-time only and are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of past academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

In no instance does any officer or employee of AutoZone play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

All applicants will be notified in April.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of AutoZone. Payment is made in late July.
