AXA XL Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: May 20, 2024 3:00 pm CT

AXA XL’s Scholarship program was established by the XL America Foundation to provide scholarships to children of AXA XL employees in America, who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the AXA XL Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time AXA XL colleagues who earn an annualized base salary $345,000 or below as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates or graduate level students who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Dependents of XL America Scholarship Foundation board members or donors are ineligible. Colleagues must be actively employed with AXA XL at the time the Scholarship Awards are initially disbursed.

Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Up to eight (8) awards will be granted.  Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • A short-answer essay
  • An online recommendation

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of XL America Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of XL America Foundation. Payments are made in early August.
