Badger Meter, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children and grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®. Scholarship America is the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.

Applicants to the Badger Meter Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children*, age 24 and under, of part-time or full-time Badger Meter, Inc. employees who have a minimum of 90-days of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Also eligible are grandchildren who do not have to be dependents of the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- year or four- year college, university or vocational-technical school. Students who will graduate in December are eligible to apply. If selected to be a recipient, the award amount will be one-half of the amount appropriate for an entire academic year.

Children and grandchildren of officers are ineligible to apply to this program.

Award information:

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging in the amount of $1000 to $3000, depending on financial need.
  • The number of awards each year will vary based on the number of applications and amount of available funding.
  • Financial need will be considered. Recipients showing no financial need will be eligible for the minimum award only.
  • Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only and may not be received more than four years.
  • Each family household may be awarded a maximum of $3,000.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in early June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
