We are happy to announce that we are currently accepting applications for our Barnes Group Foundation Scholarship Program! The Barnes Group Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to assist Barnes Group employees’ children who plan to pursue post-secondary education by enrolling in college or a technical vocational program. The program is open to all Barnes Group Inc. worldwide employees, and scholarships will be awarded for graduate study as well as undergraduate.
In accordance with United States tax laws, we are limited to granting awards to only 25% of our eligible applicants. Remember, the more applicants we receive, the more scholarships we can grant, so please apply today! Even if you have previously applied and did not receive a scholarship, we encourage you to apply again, as you are still eligible to receive an award!
We invite you to review the guidelines found below and submit an application today!
Sincerely,
President Dempsey Thomas Barnes
President & CEO Chairman of the Board
Applicants to the Barnes Group Foundation Scholarship Program must be:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $3,000 to $10,000. Undergraduate awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent is earned, whichever occurs first. Graduate awards are renewable one time or until graduate degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in full-time study and continuation of the program by Barnes Group Foundation, Inc.
International students are strongly encouraged to apply. Awards can be used for education related expenses (tuition, fees, books, supplies, room/board and transportation).
Additionally, Scholarship America will select three to five (3-5) recipients who have a GPA of 2.5 – 3.0 as long as there are qualified applicants.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Applicants will be notified by June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
