The BASF Scholarship Program recognizes and rewards academically talented children of BASF Corporation employees. The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest administrator of scholarships, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals – in collaboration with National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Awards are granted based on academic success and demonstrated achievement, and without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the BASF Scholarship Program must be:

(*Dependent children are defined as biological, stepchildren or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household, or primarily supported by the employee, or granted court-assigned guardianship or custody and for whom the employee provides primary financial support.)
Recipients receive a $2,000 award, which may be renewed for up to an additional three years, or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first.
Awards are granted to National Merit Finalists named by National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) and students demonstrating academic performance, demonstrated leadership and school and community participation, work experience, career and educational aspirations and goals, unusual personal or family circumstances and an online recommendation.
Annual renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in full-time study and continuation of the program by BASF Corporation.
