Bausch Health U.S. Scholarship Program for Dependents

Bausch Health US, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of Bausch Health U.S.-based employees who plan to continue their education in college, vocational or technical school programs. Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice for the upcoming school year.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Bausch Health United States based employees who have a minimum of two (2) years of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as biological, step, or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of Bausch Health Executive Committee members are ineligible to apply.

Award Amounts
Up to ten (10) awards of $5,000 will be granted to students enrolled in any field of study.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will not be considered.

Notification
Applicants will be notified in April.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Bausch Health US, LLC. Payment is made to the school/university in one installment in early August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

    NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

    One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than March 12, 2025 3:00 pm Central Time.

    Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.

    The personal information that you provide as part of the Bausch Health US Scholarship program will be used exclusively for the purposes of determining eligibility and participation in this program. If you are chosen for a Bausch Health US scholarship, Scholarship America will maintain your personal information for 2 years and then will securely archive the information. If you are not chosen to participate in the program, Scholarship America will delete your information after one year.
