BearCom has established a scholarship program to assist employees′ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student′s choice.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
Applicants to the BearCom Scholars Program must:
Up to three (3) awards will be granted. If there are insufficient numbers of applicants, then individual award amounts may be increased.
Awards are not renewable.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study at a community college, vocational technical school, CEGEP institution or university.
The award checks will be issued in U.S. currency. If the student changes schools the award amount may change.
Applicants will be notified in mid-July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of BearCom. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

The academic evaluation for Canadian applicants will include a review of the grade/mark-average based on the Canadian grading system and a review of the results of academic examinations. This information is evaluated to complete the academic ranking of these applicants.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of BearCom play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than June 15, 2023 3:00 pm Central Time.
