Bergey’s, Inc. has established the Norman L Bergey Scholarship Program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Norman L Bergey Scholarship Program must be:
Children of shareholders of Bergey’s Inc. are not eligible for the program.
The authorized distribution for awards will be $30,000. Awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be granted based upon the date the application is submitted to Scholarship America with preference given to applicants who have not previously been selected as a recipient of the program.
Up to 30 eligible applicants will receive an award. The amount of each award will vary based on the number of applications received.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in April. The Bergey’s Inc. employee parent must be employed at the time scholarships are announced.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Bergey’s Inc. Payment is made in August. Applicable payroll tax withholdings will apply for the employee.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
