Boardwalk Pipelines, LP Scholarship Program

This scholarship program was established by Boardwalk Pipelines, LP to assist high school seniors from eligible high schools who plan to continue their education in college programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the Boardwalk Pipelines, LP Scholarship Program must:

  • Be high school seniors attending one of the designated high schools* in which Boardwalk’s pipeline system crosses the school’s property.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent).

  • Lake Cormorant High School
  • McLaurin High School
  • Mercy Academy
  • Mineola High School
  • New Iberia Catholic High School
  • North Pike High School

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive:

  • An award in the amount of $2,000.
  • One award will be given in each of the designated high schools, assuming there are qualified candidates. If there are no qualified applicants from a particular school, the total number of awards will be reduced accordingly.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Financial need is not considered.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

All applicants will be notified of their status in early-April.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America process payments on behalf of Boardwalk Pipelines, LP. Payments are made in one installment in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 28, 2023 3:00 pm Central Time.
