Bob’s Discount Furniture Education Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist employees and children of employees and their domestic partners who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible application are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need is not considered.
Selection of finalists is made by Scholarship America. A Bob’s Discount Furniture Education Foundation selection committee will review finalists and select recipients. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
All applicants will be notified in May via email.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Bob’s Discount Furniture Education Foundation. Payment is made in August.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive $5,000 award. Up to fifty (50) awards will be granted.
Renewal awards can be used toward a bachelor’s degree and then transfer to a master’s degree if the student enrolls in a graduate program immediately after completing their undergraduate degree. Recipients can receive the award for a total of 4 consecutive years.
Per IRS Rev. Proc. 76-47, the employment eligibility requirement does not apply to previous recipients.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 15, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time.
