Daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bradley, III, Dr. Yunique (Class of 1996), Dr. Chastity (Class of 1996), and Dr. Artara Bradley (Class of 2003) are natives of Aiken County and graduated from either Silver Bluff or South Aiken High School. These three sisters went on to successfully pursue careers in science and medicine after completing college and graduate level programs. Dr. Yunique and Dr. Artara both achieved their Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Hampton University while Dr. Chastity received her Doctor of Philosophy from Vanderbilt University. Today, Dr. Yunique and Dr. Artara are both pharmacists, with Dr. Yunique practicing in VA and Dr. Artara practicing in Dallas. Dr. Chastity is a medical writer entrepreneur in TN.
Together, these three sisters have each excelled in their professional fields and are eager to give back to other students who are interested in following in their footsteps in the healthcare field. Scholarships are offered each year for a full-time STEM course of study at an accredited, nonprofit four-year college or university of the student’s choice. Students meeting the criteria described in the program guidelines are encouraged to apply to this academic-based scholarship.

Reduce Your Overall College Costs: In its 2019 report, the College Board reports that a moderate budget for a four-year in-state public college averaged $26,590 for 2019-2020 academic year. A moderate budget at a private college averaged $53,980.3 Scholarship funds awarded to qualified applicants will be mailed to the recipient’s home address and are made payable to the school for the student. Applicants to the Footsteps of Three Bradley Doctors Scholarship Fund must meet all of the following criteria:
Up to two (2) awards of at least $1,500 each will be granted. Size of award is subject to increase. Award amount will be determined when recipients are selected. One student from South Aiken High School and one student from Silver Bluff High School will be selected for an award. If there are no qualified applicants from one school, the award may be granted at the other school.
Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not reapply. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
The program will use Scholarship America finalist selection criteria including the consideration of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and outside appraisals. Financial need will not be considered.
Scholarship America will select six (6) finalists and The Bradley Doctors will select recipients and determine award amounts. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Bradley Doctors. Payments are made in one installment in early August.
