The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist female high school seniors participating in a form of football (touch, flag, tackle, etc.) who plan to continue their education in college.
This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation Girls in Football Scholarship Program must:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted. Awards are one-time only. Past recipients may not reapply.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Award recipients will be sent a Quick Start Guide email to register for the WhichWay app with access to the following modules for a one year cycle:
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school activities, work experience, statement of career and educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation, Inc. Payment is made in one installment on August 1.
