BXP Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: March 17, 2025 3:00 pm CST

The BXP Scholarship Program was established in 2000 in recognition of our 30th anniversary. It is funded by BXP to invest in the future of our society and to give back to those that have given so much to BXP.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be dependent children of full-time, active, regular employees of BXP or children of part-time employees of BXP or its affiliates working at least 21 hours per week, who have a minimum of six (6) months employment with BXP or its affiliates as of the application deadline date.
  • Be high school seniors or currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students who plan to enroll or who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school or graduate school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of Officers are ineligible.

Awards

Scholarship awards range from $3,000 to $8,000. Potential recipients who demonstrate no financial need will be eligible to receive an honorarium of $1,500. Awards are not renewable. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Any one student may receive a maximum of four (4) scholarships.

Awards are for post-high school undergraduate study and graduate study.

Notification

Applicants will be notified by email in early June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of BXP. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Once recipients are selected, financial need is assessed to determine the amount of each award. Recipients who do not demonstrate financial need or whose parents choose not to supply the requested financial information will be eligible to receive a $1,500 honorarium. Instructions for completing the Financial Data section of the application are provided.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of BXP play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
  • Student name
  • School name
  • Grades
  • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than March 20, 2025 3:00 pm Eastern Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
