CaptionCall Employee Scholarship Program

CaptionCall has established a scholarship program to assist employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the CaptionCall Employee Scholarship Program must:

 

  • Be a full-time or part-time CaptionCall Captioning Agent, Center Lead Supervisor or Team Lead Supervisor employees with a minimum of six (6) months of employment with the company as of the application deadline.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for at least one semester during the upcoming academic year.

Salary employees are ineligible.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the employee will receive an award ranging from $1,275 to $2,000.  Up to eight (8) awards of $2,000 each and two (2) awards of $1,275 will be granted.

Awards are one-time only.  Past recipients may not reapply.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

Financial need will not be considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of CaptionCall play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in February. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of CaptionCall. Payments are made in August.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document(s):

  1. Current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.

Your application is not considered complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
