A college education is increasingly important for success in today’s fast-paced world. CareSource is dedicated to helping students fund their college experience—especially those who are part of our extended CareSource family.
The CareSource Scholars Program was launched in 2016 to celebrate the CareSource Foundation’s 10th anniversary. Five college scholarships will be awarded annually to students whose parent or full-time guardian is employed by CareSource. We reward students who are highly motivated, have financial need for assistance and demonstrate the drive to succeed—often despite personal obstacles.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the CareSource Scholars Program must:
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Attention will be given to employee location and awards given in direct proportion to the number of applications with respect to ethnicity, provided there are qualified applicants.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of CareSource play a part in the selection.
Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Five $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each year to a current high school senior or current college student.
Awards are one-time only and not renewable. Past recipients may not reapply.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
CareSource Scholars are announced in January.
Scholarships will be mailed directly to the college or university.
