TaVon Reynolds has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors, graduates or current undergraduates who reside in Calvert County, Maryland and plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) for the entire upcoming academic year while pursuing a STEM related major (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical fields).
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to 1 award will be granted. Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis or satisfactory academic performance maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and continued pursuit of a degree in STEM-related field.
Recipients who plan to transfer schools must attend another Historically Black College/University.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in May.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of TaVon Reynolds. Payment is made in August.
