CentroMotion Dependent Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: March 3, 2020 3:00 pm CT

CentroMotion has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the CentroMotion Dependent Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, age 24 and under, of full-time ECS employees who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Amounts

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 to $1,000.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at ECS, and continuation of the program by CentroMotion.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Once scholarship recipients are selected, financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award, ranging from $500 to $1,000.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of CentroMotion play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students not selected as recipients may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of CentroMotion. Payments are made in equal one installment in early August.
