Centuri Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: May 6, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time

Centuri Group, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist children of U.S. and Canadian employees who plan to continue their education in college, CEGEP, or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Centuri Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 25 and under, of full-time Centuri Group, Inc. employees in the United States and Canada who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be current high school seniors or graduates or current college undergraduates (including CEGEP).
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, CEGEP or university, or vocational-technical school (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming semester/term.

Children of officers and executives are ineligible.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Assuming there are qualified applicants, the recipient pool will represent the diversity of the applicant pool.

Academic evaluation applicants will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Centuri Group, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to (10) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late June.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Centuri Group, Inc. Payment is made in August. The award payments will be issued in U.S. currency.
