CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships
Deadline to apply: February 8, 2024 5:00 pm CT (6:00 PM ET)

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties provides scholarship opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors who are attending community colleges, four-year universities, vocational/technical, and graduate schools.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants will complete one application for consideration for all the scholarship funds under CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships.

Scholarships funds included in the CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships Application:

Applicants will apply to CFPBMC Non-Interview Scholarships. One common application is completed to apply to any of the below funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria and the criteria of one or more of the scholarships listed:

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Be a resident of Florida
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA

Children of foundation employees are ineligible.

Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and must run on a standard academic semester calendar. Certification programs must be a minimum of one semester/term in length, and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed.

Adele Wells Meyer Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Resident of Palm Beach County
  • GPA between 2.5 and 3.5
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

Bradley Collins Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Resident of Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Preference to applicants who are active in community service
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 to be granted

Community Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Resident of Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Preference given to applicants demonstrating financial need
  • Estimated one (1) awards of $2,500 will be granted

Don Dahlberg Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior from Jupiter High School
  • Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 to be granted

J. Peter Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Resident of North West Palm Beach or South Martin County (eligible zip codes include: 33403, 33404, 33407, 33408, 33410, 33412, 33418, 33458, 33469, 33477 & 33478)
  • Attend or plan to attend a college/university in Florida
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Preference given to applicants demonstrating financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

James H. Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior from Homestead Senior High School or Dade High School
  • Attend or plan to attend a two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in Florida
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Be pursuing a degree or career in Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, or other Agricultural Science-related field such as turf-grass, or other agricultural science, dealing with the production and management of plants
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated two (2) awards of $20,000 will be granted

Laurence E. Barreca Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Resident of Palm Beach County or Martin County
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

Palm Beach Newspapers Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior from a Palm Beach County high school
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

R. Bruce Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior at Glades Central High School or Pahokee High School
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Applicants must be involved in extracurricular activities
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

The Alcus Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  • Be a graduating high school senior from any Palm Beach County high school
  • Maximum 3.2 GPA
  • Enrolled in or plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

The Reuter Scholarship Fund

  • Graduating high school seniors residing in Palm Beach County
  • Preference given to a graduating high school senior at Glades Central High School or Pahokee High School
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Be pursuing a degree or career in Technology, Engineering, or Science
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Preference given to applicants who participate in extracurricular activities
  • Preference given to applicants who have faced life challenges
  • Estimated one (1) award of $2,500 will be granted

The Walter & Adi Blum Foundation, Inc.

  • Be a graduating high school senior residing in Palm Beach or Martin County
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Estimated three (3) awards of $2,500 will be granted

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,500 to $20,000. Up to 16 awards will be granted.

Applicants may receive ONE award per year from the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) in a part-time or full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

Payment is made in mid-July.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, will be considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any member of the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.


As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than February 12, 2024 3:00 pm Central Time (4:00 PM Eastern Time).
