Chemical Engineering Magazine has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time students at one of six eligible four-year institutions.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants of the Nicholas Chopey Scholarship Program award must be:

  • Current third-year students
  • Enrolled in full-time undergraduate study in Chemical Engineering at one of the following four-year colleges or universities:
    • Columbia University
    • Rutgers University
    • SUNY Buffalo
    • University of Kansas
    • University of Oklahoma
    • University of Virgina

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award in the amount of $1,000.

Award is one-time only.

Award is for undergraduate study only.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any director, officer or employee of Chemical Engineering Magazine play a part in the selection.

All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
