Chubb Worldwide Scholarship Program
Deadline to apply: January 30, 2025 3:00 pm CT

Chubb has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants to the Chubb Worldwide Scholarship Program must be:

  • Children, age 25 and under, of full-time Chubb employees with two years of continuous service by the application deadline date of the year in which the student’s application is made.
  • High school or upper secondary school seniors/students in their final year of upper secondary or high school, graduates, current technical or college/university undergraduate students.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,500 to $6,000.

The award is not to collectively exceed the cost of tuition, fees, books, and supplies. Room and board is not included.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until an undergraduate degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, continued full-time enrollment subject to the conditions described in the next paragraph and continuation of the program by Chubb.

This award is subject to employment verification up to the time of disbursement. However, future renewals will not be declined on the basis of the recipient’s parent’s employment status with Chubb. In order for the recipient to qualify for renewal installments of the award, the recipient must meet all other eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only and are issued in U.S. currency.

Notification

All applicants will be notified at the end of March. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Chubb. Payment is made in early August. Parent must be currently employed by Chubb at first check disbursement.
