The Clorox Company Foundation Scholarship Program
Application status: Closed

The Clorox Company Foundation Scholarship Program has been established to assist the children of The Clorox Company employees worldwide who plan to pursue postsecondary education in college programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited post-secondary institution or accredited technical/occupational school of the student’s choice in any country.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

Eligibility
Applicants to The Clorox Company Foundation Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent children* or legal wards, age 26 and under as of the application deadline, of full-time active or inactive worldwide employees grade 28 and below.
*For definition of children, please see the Clorox Benefits Handbook.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited technical/occupational school or two- or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award
Up to 15 $2,500 scholarships will be awarded each year and will be paid in U.S. currency. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by The Clorox Company Foundation.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Awards may be used for tuition, books, room and board.

Notification
Applicants will be notified by the end of April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of The Clorox Company Foundation. U.S. recipients’ awards are paid in two installments in August and December. Non-U.S. recipients’ awards are paid in one installment in August.
