ComRent Family Scholarship Program

ComRent International has established a scholarship program to assist children of domestic and Canadian employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

This program is administered by Scholarship America┬«, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the ComRent Family Scholarship Program must:

  • Dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time ComRent International U.S. and Canadian employees who have a minimum of six (6) months of employment as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Students outside the United States must be in their final year of upper or higher secondary school or be current technical or university level students.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Children of the Senior Leadership Team are ineligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award. Up to two (2) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Students may receive an award a maximum of two times.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of ComRent International. Payments are made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.

Financial need is not considered.

Academic evaluation of international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of ComRent International play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

Also as part of your application, one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf by 3:00 pm CT on June 2, 2020.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
