Conagra Brands Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who have the passion and commitment to continue their education and succeed in college, university, or vocational school.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards are granted without regard to sex, race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, pregnancy, leave status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, and/or any other characteristic or status protected by national, federal, state or local law.

Applicants to Conagra Brands Foundation Scholarship Program must be:

  • Dependent* children, under age 26, of active full-time employees of Conagra Brands, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline.

  • Dependent* children, under age 26, of temporary and part-time employees of Conagra Brands, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries who have a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline and have worked a minimum of 1,000 hours in the most recently completed year.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale (or equivalent).

Applicants living outside the United States must be either in their final year of upper secondary school or graduates who plan to enroll or are already enrolled in college, university, polytechnic, vocational, or trade school studies.

**Children of employees with a salary grade at or above CL-26 are not eligible.

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by Conagra Brands Foundation.

Previous recipients of the Gary and Barbara Rodkin Scholarship or the Mike Harper Leadership Scholars Program are not eligible to receive this award

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

All applicants will be notified in mid-April.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Conagra Brand Foundation. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

A key objective of this scholarship program is to award scholarships to a group of students who reflect the workforce diversity of Conagra Brands. Consequently, a portion of the funds available for scholarship distribution is designated for awards to minority students.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Financial need will be considered in determining the amount of the award. Potential recipients who do not demonstrate financial need will be eligible to receive honoraria at the minimum level.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Conagra Brands Foundation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.

In addition, the application must be completed in English, and English translations must be provided for all non-English documents.
