Orange County Community Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist Confie employees and children of employees who plan to continue their education in college.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, or national origin.
Applicants to the Confie Enablement Fund Scholarship must:
Awards of $2,500 will be granted to recipients seeking a 2-year degree and awards of $5,000 will be granted to recipients seeking a 4-year degree. Up to 15 awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. The employment eligibility requirement does not apply to previous recipients.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified in June.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Orange County Community Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in early August. The award check is made payable to your educational institution and is added to your financial aid package. If your full cost of attendance has been met through other scholarships or grants, your scholarship award may be rescinded.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an online recommendation.
Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Confie or Orange County Community Foundation play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
