The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Award Amounts

New distribution will be determined at time of selection and will be based on how many renewal students are still eligible; a total of 100 awards (new and renewal) will be granted for the 2020 program year. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a 2.75 or higher GPA in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by the Earl and Kathryn Congdon Family Foundation.

Nonrecipients may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the Earl and Kathryn Congdon Family Foundation or ODFL play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
