Course Hero is providing teaching grants of up to $2,000 for the Fall 2023 term to support educators interested in innovative digital learning and pedagogy in higher education. Deadline to apply: May 26, 2023

To begin your application, create an account with Scholarship America, our grant management partner.

  • You currently teach at any higher education institution in the United States (all disciplines welcome)
  • You are the instructor of record* for the class in your project proposal
  • Your proposal utilizes a digital medium to support your students
  • You are able to implement your funded project during the Fall 2023 term
  • Your class project must not exceed $2,000, as co-funded projects are not eligible for the grant
  • You are able to verify your employment with your educational institution upon selection
*Instructors of record are those employed to teach courses and authorize credit for the successful completion of courses.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Recipients will be selected by the Course Hero Educator Community Team, which is composed of former college educators with extensive classroom experience. The selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • The project’s capacity to promote digital learning and pedagogy in the classroom.
  • Innovative pedagogy with a focus on active, inclusive, and student-centered learning.
  • The project’s potential to contribute to long-term, meaningful learning and critical thinking for students.
  • The feasibility of the proposed project and planning of curriculum, tools, and funding.

Applicants will be notified of their application status via email by late June 2023. Funds will be distributed to grant recipients in early July.

Recipients will be expected to provide a reflection on the project impact in January 2024. Templates will be provided at the beginning of the grant period. The reflection will include the ability to attach deliverables that convey project details and outcomes.

Grantees will receive:

  • Course planning support by experienced former educators
  • Support throughout the teaching term
  • Invitations to faculty networking events
  • An opportunity to showcase your project

Recipients will be invited to participate in an optional virtual check-in to discuss project progress with the Course Hero educator team.
