Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) has established the Carol Rivchun Educational Development Fund (“C.R.E.D. Fund”) to assist full-time Y.O.U. employees who plan to enroll in coursework between August 2020 and July 2021.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age, disability or national origin.

Award Amounts
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $1,400. Up to five (5) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for certification, prep course work, undergraduate and graduate study.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of Y.O.U. work experience and performance reviews, tenure at Y.O.U., volunteerism at Y.O.U., a statement of career and educational aspirations and goals, and an outside appraisal. Financial need will not be considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer of Youth Opportunities Unlimited play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Notification
Applicants will be notified in late May.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Youth Opportunities Unlimited. Payments are made between August 2020 and July 2021 once proof of enrollment is verified.
