The Citizens State Bank of Roseau Scholarship Fund

The Citizens State Bank of Roseau Scholarship Fund was established by the Citizens State Bank of Roseau to recognize and encourage achievements in higher education. Scholarships are awarded to eligible Roseau High School and Badger High School graduating seniors as well as to eligible children of Citizens State Bank of Roseau employees.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants of the Citizens State Bank of Roseau Scholarship Fund must be:

  • Graduating high school seniors from Roseau High School or Badger High School with two years of attendance at either school by the application deadline,
    High school seniors, regardless of which high school in Roseau County they attend, who are children of regular full-time employees of Citizens State Bank of Roseau with two years of employment by the application deadline
  • Students who plan to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

Award Information

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award in the amount of $1,000. Up to six (6) awards will be granted. Awards are not renewable.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.


Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Citizens State Bank of Roseau. Awards will be paid in one installment in early August.

Selection Criteria

The program will utilize a modified Scholarship America recipient selection procedure including the consideration of:

  • Past academic performance and future potential
  • Leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Citizens State Bank of Roseau play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

    NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
