The Danaher Scholarship Program seeks to relieve the financial burden of higher education costs for Danaher families, helping students to realize their life’s potential.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Danaher Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the associate’s household or primarily supported by the associate.
Applicants may not be recipients of other scholarships funded by Danaher or one of their operating companies. If selected as a recipient for more than one scholarship, the applicant must choose one.
New awards will be distributed in the following manner:
The awards are renewable up to three times or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and full-time enrollment. The Danaher employee parent must also continue to be employed with Danaher Corporation.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Awards are not to exceed tuition, fees, books and supplies and other education expenses.
Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Danaher Corporation. Payments will be sent in mid-August. Recipients attending school in the U.S. and Canada will be mailed checks issued in U.S. currency payable to their schools. Recipients attending school outside of the U.S. and Canada will be sent their awards via wire transfer in September.
Financial need as calculated by Scholarship America must be demonstrated for the student to receive Award Type 2.
The academic evaluation for international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark-average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and university and results of academic examinations. This information is evaluated to complete the academic ranking of international applicants.
Provided there are qualified applicants, recipients will be selected in proportion to the number of applicants per country.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or associate of Danaher Corporation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
